•Prestressed Girders
Erection of concrete girders is a major activity of our firm. We have erected "prestress" on over 100 projects. For example, on the beltline bridge over Mud Lake in Madison, WI, we set 396 girders. We have placed prestressed girders lengths in excess of 135 feet.

•Structural Metal Girders
We have set steel girders over 220' in length and 16' deep. We work at height, over water, from barges and in tight spaces. Our work has been diverse enough to also include a radar support tower, catwalks, stairways, access platforms and large geodesic domes. We have extensive experience with heavy rigging gained with trusses, railroad, and highway bridges. In 1997 we completed erection of the structural steel on the Monona Terrace Convention Center in Madison, Wisconsin. In 2002 we will complete structural steel erection on Soldier Field in Chicago, Illinois.

•Reinforcing Steel
Mitchell Construction has extensive experience in pier footings, columns, pier caps and slabs. We perform all aspects of rebar placement. Our attention to detail ensures that pre-tied assemblies are stable during picks.

•Welding
Our contracts have required extensive welding. The firm's certified welders have experience in most processes. Placement of expansion devices and bearings is a matter of course.
